For your first login, you can connect your work account using a web browser.
To do this, go to the Office website: https://www.office.com
You can also sign in to any official Microsoft app (like Outlook or Teams).
On desktop, the sign-in options are usually located in the top-right corner of these apps.
During your first login, you’ll be prompted to change your temporary password and set up Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) on your mobile device.
NOTE: If you are not seeing the expected Microsoft sign-in screen, it likely means you are already signed in with a different account.
In that case, click your profile icon and choose Sign in with a different account.

- Enter your temporary password and click Sign in.

- Click Next to begin the Microsoft Authenticator setup process.

- Make sure you have the Microsoft Authenticator app installed on your mobile phone.
If not, download it from the App Store or Google Play. Once done, click Next.

NOTE: App stores may sometimes highlight third-party authenticator apps that are not published by Microsoft and may require payment.
Microsoft Authenticator is free. Please make sure you have downloaded the official Microsoft app before submitting a support request.
- On the Microsoft Authenticator app, if prompted, allow notifications.

- Tap the + sign or choose Add account.

- Select Work or school account.

- Click Next on the screen that appears.

- Now, in the app, tap Scan QR code. Your camera will open so you can scan the QR code shown on your computer screen.
When done, click Next :

- You’ll be asked to test the authentication:
A 2-digit number will appear on your screen. Enter that number on your MFA prompt and tap Yes.
- If biometric authentication is enabled on your MFA app, you’ll need to confirm using Face ID or fingerprint.
If not, enter your phone’s passcode.
- Click Next.

- Click Done.

- You’ll receive a test authentication request from Microsoft on your computer.
This is what the new Microsoft prompt with the 2-digit code looks like.

- Here is the Microsoft message you’ll receive on your phone.
Once you enter the 2-digit code, you’ll need to confirm using biometrics or your phone’s passcode again.
You will now be asked to change your password.
Enter your temporary password
Create and confirm your new password
Then click Sign in

NOTE: Password requirements

If you logged in using a web browser, you will now see the office.com homepage.
From there, you can access all Microsoft apps available to you (Outlook, Teams, Word, etc.).
Click on Apps in the side menu to access them directly
If you prefer, you can install the apps on your computer by clicking the Install and more dropdown
To change your display language:
Click your profile icon → View Account

Then click on Display Language to make the change

Next, access the Security Info page, where you can:
